Cultural policy, contemporary art, discussion

A municipal centre d’art situated in the suburbs of Grenoble, the VOG alternates solo exhibitions of emerging and established artists, and promotes diversity in practice. On the model of TV reporting, it conceived two intersecting interviews about the links between centres d’art, art schools and artists. Two local figures were invited for discussion: Jacques Norigeon, director of the Ecole supérieure d'art et design Grenoble-Valence, and artist Samuel Rousseau respond in a very free tone to questions on education, remuneration and the decentralisation of art.

Samuel Rousseau, artist, and Jacques Norigeon, director of the Ecole supérieure d’art et de design Grenoble Valence answer the following questions:

Is cultural decentralisation positive?
Wich future prospects after the art school?
How to make a living of one’s art?
What role does the VOG centre d’art plays?
