Celebrating the Centenary of Lombez’s Grain Silos

In photography, a shift lens mechanism makes it possible to get a frontal view from an off-centre perspective. The Centre d’art et photographie is itself off-centre by virtue of its rural geographic location. In a filmed interview, artist Edouard Sautai and anthropologist Eric Chauvier discuss a video installation presented over one weekend in a grain silo in a remote village in Lectoure, on the occasion of the centenary of the agricultural cooperative. Practically everyone in the village saw this installation, which the usual contemporary art viewers were unaware of.
